Remember seeing the news articles and hearing the story about Miranda Lambert’s custom hot pink high heels on the red carpet? Little did readers know that the gun holster was actually custom made by Maida’s Custom Footwear in Houston, Texas.
The stiletto named “Come and Take It” was in an emergency need of a re-design. Maida’s head footwear designer S.J. Maida was put “under the gun” to get it re-designed and made in less than 24 hours. Maida’s turned it out faster than a speeding bullet just in time to get it to LA for the awards. When asked about the project Maida replied “faster than a speeding bullet…yeah right you mean machine gun”, they truly test our skills”.
