A Walk into History

Five generations ago, John Laureto Maida, a 10 year old Sicilian immigrant, traveled alone to America and settled in Houston. In 1901 at the young age of 19 he started his boot and shoe making career downtown at 910 Congress Avenue. Now after more than a century in the business, the Maida's dedication to leather crafting and to our valued customers is the driving spirit behind our masterpieces.
